Liveview—Framing with the Camera Screen

When you turn on Liveview, the camera screen displays a live image of what the lens sees. Use the camera screen to frame your subject.

IMPORTANT: Liveview significantly reduces battery life.

Turn the Mode dial to any Still capture

 

position.

Press the OK button to turn on Liveview.

Frame your subject in the camera screen.

Press the Shutter button half-way to set the

 

exposure and focus.

When the ready light glows green, continue

 

pressing the Shutter button completely

 

down to take the picture.

OK

When the ready light blinks green, the

 

 

picture is being saved; you can still take

 

pictures. If the ready light is red, wait

 

until it turns green.

To turn off Liveview, press the OK button.

NOTE: If Picture Quality is set to Best (3:2), the Liveview image is displayed at a 3:2 aspect ratio, as shown, with a black bar at the top of the screen.
