Sincronizzazione tendina posteriore

Una tecnica che consente di utilizzare il flash a bassa velocità di apertura del diaframma. Quando si scatta con il flash in condizioni di scarsa illuminazione o di notte con un'elevata velocità di apertura del diaframma, il risultato è spesso un soggetto illuminato dal flash su uno sfondo scuro. Riducendo la velocità di apertura del diaframma con il flash, i dettagli dello sfondo emergono maggiormente nella fotografia. L'uso di una bassa velocità di apertura del diaframma con sincronizzazione tendina posteriore risulta particolarmente efficace per illustrare il movimento di un flusso

di luce.

La sincronizzazione lenta estende la gamma di velocità di apertura del diaframma controllata automaticamente (in modalità automatica programmata e di priorità di diaframmi AE) fino a 30 secondi.

Il flash si aziona un istante dopo che la tendina anteriore di un otturatore a tendina ha completato la propria corsa sul piano pellicola. Questa

Il flash viene attivato un istante prima che la seconda tendina (posteriore) dell'otturatore a tendina inizi a muoversi. Quando viene utilizzata una velocità di apertura del diaframma ridotta, questa funzione può creare un effetto mosso dovuto alla luce ambientale, ossia una scia di luce che segue un soggetto in movimento con il soggetto bloccato alla fine della scia.
