ThismessageistransmittedifyouassignMasterVolume as
thefunctionofthefootpedal.Thiswilladjusttheoverall
volumebalancewithoutchangingtherelativevolumebal
ancebetweentimbres.Whenthismessageisreceived,the
resultwillbethesameaswhenthecontrollerisused.

Master balance [F0, 7F, nn, 04, 02, vv, mm, F7]

Transmitting sound settings data (Data Dump)
Dataforprograms,andperformancescanbetransmittedas
MIDISystemExclusivemessages.Theoperationofsending
thissystemexclusivedatatoanexternaldeviceiscalleda
“datadump.”
Byperformingadatadump,youcanstorethePS60’s
soundsandsettingsonanexternaldevice,orrewritethe
soundsandsettingsofanotherPS60.
Ifthe“SysEx(SystemExclusive)”(page73)settingison,
datawillalsobedumpedinresponsetoaDumpRequest
message.
WhenthePS60receivesthisdata,thedatawillbewritten
intotheeditbuffer.Ifyouwanttosavethedataintointernal
memory,you’llhavetosavebyusingtheWriteoperation.
ThiscanbedoneeitherbyexecutingtheWrite operation
(See“Saving(Storing/Writing)”onpage25oftheOwner’s
manual)onthePS60itself,EditorUtility,orbyaMIDISys
temExclusiveprogramwriterequest,performancewrite
requestorglobalsettingwriterequest.
Editing sounds via SysEx
ByusingvariousMIDISystemExclusivedatadumps,you
canrewriteallprogramsoranindividualprogram.By
usingparameterchangemessages,youcaneditindividual
parametersasfollows.

Parameter changes

•InProgramEditmode,allparametersotherthanthe
programnamecanbeedited.
•InPerformance Editmode,parametersotherthanthe
performancenamecanbeedited.
Cautionsregardingdatadumpsandsoundediting
•AfterMIDISystemExclusivedatahasbeenreceivedand
processed,aDataLoadCompletedmessagewillbe
transmitted.Thecontrolmasterdevicemustnottransmit
thenextmessageuntilthismessageisreceived(oruntila
sufficientintervaloftimehaselapsed).
•Whenyouchangeuseparameterchangestoedit,the
changeswillaffectthedataintheeditbufferandwillnot
bestoredininternalmemoryunlessyouWrite, sothat
thechangeswillbelostifyoureselecttheprogramor
performance.TheWriteoperationcanbeperformedbya
MIDISystemExclusiveProgramWriteRequestor
Performance WriteRequestmessage,inadditiontothe
usualmethodofusingthePS60’sswitchesorEditor

If notes are stuck
Ifaproblemhascausednotestocontinuesoundingeven
thoughyouʹvestoppedplayingthekeyboard(orstopped
playingviaMIDI),youcanstopthestucknotesbyswitch
ingmodesonthePS60.
