ThiscontrolsthedepthanddirectionoftheAMS(Shape)
modulation.

Stop [Off, On]

On:InsteadoftheLFOfunctioningnormally,itwillignore
theFreqsetting.TheLFOwillmaintaintheinitialvalue
(determinedbytheperformanceofWavef orm, Phase,
Shape,andOffset)untilthenoteoff.
Sincethevaluewillchangeonlyatnoteon,usingaRandom
waveformwillproduceafixedvaluethatchangesrandomly
ateachnoteon(oratthefirstnoteon).
Off:TheLFOwillfunctionnormally.

Key Sync. [Off, On]

On:WhenKeySyncisOn,theLFOstartseachtimeyou
pressakey,andanindependentLFOrunsforeachnote.
Thisisthenormalsetting.
Off:WhenKeySyncisOff,theLFOstartsfromthephase
thatʹsdeterminedbythefirstnoteinthephrase,sothatthe
LFOsforallnotesbeingheldaresynchronizedtogether.The
FadeandDelaysettingswillonlyapplytothefirstnote’s
LFO.
NotethatevenifKeySyncisOff,eachnote’sLFOspeed
maystillbedifferentifyoumodulatetheFrequencybynote
number,velocity,keyscaling,orothernotespecificAMS
sources.

Offset [–99...+99]

Bydefault,almostalloftheLFOwaveformsarecentered
around0,andthenswingallthewayfrom–99to+99.This
parameterletsyoushifttheLFOupanddown,sothat–for
instance–it’scenteredon50,andthenswingsfrom–49to
+149.
Forexample,let’ssaythatyou’reusinganLFOforvibrato.
IftheOffsetis0,thevibratowillbecenteredonthenote’s
originalpitch,bendingitbothupanddown.
IftheOffsetis+99,ontheotherhand,thevibratowillonly
raisethepitchabovetheoriginalnote.

TheoneexceptiontothisistheGuitarwaveform,whichis
designedtoemulatebendingastringonaguitar–sothatthe
pitchonlygoesup,andnotdown.Becauseofthis,thewave
formiscenteredon50,andnoton0.Ofcourse,youcan
alwaysuseanegativeOffsettoshiftitbackdownbelow0
again!
SinceOffsetaffectstheoutputvaluesoftheLFO,it’simpor
tanttonotethatitaffectsthesignalaftertheShapefunction,
asshownbelow:
How the LFO signal is affected by Shape and Offset

Fade [00...99]

TheLFOcanfadeingradually,insteadofsimplystarting
immediatelyatfullstrength.Thisparameterspecifiesthe
timefromwhentheLFObeginstoplayuntilitreachesits
maximumamplitude.
IftheDelayparameterisbeingused,thenthefadewill
beginafterthedelayiscomplete.
WhenKeySyncisOff,thefadewillapplyonlytothefirst
noteinthephrase.
LFO Fade and Delay

Delay [00...99]

ThissetsthetimefromnoteonuntiltheLFOstarts.
When“KeySync”isOff,thedelayappliesonlytothefirst
noteofthephrase.

Frequency Modulation

adjustthespeedoftheLFO.
