Section 1 Assembly and Setup

Axle Assembly

NOTE: Do not tighten hardware until assembly is complete. Refer to “Torque Values Chart for Common Bolt Sizes” on page 27.

Refer to Figure 1-6:

1.Install tire (#1) to axle weldment (#2), using four bolts (#3), lock washers (#4) and flat washers (#5).

2.Repeat for opposite side.

Rear Chain Guard

Install each segment of the rear chain guards (#1) as shown in Figure 1-8, using with 1/2” -13 x 1 1/2” long car- riage bolts (#2), 1/2” flat washers (#3) and 1/2” lock nuts (#4).“Torque Values Chart for Common Bolt Sizes” on page 27.

! DANGER!

Rotary cutters have the ability to discharge objects at high speeds; therefore, the use of front and rear safety shields is strongly recommended when cutting along highways or in an area where people may be present.

Front Chain Guard

Install each segment of the front chain guards (#1) as shown in Figure 1-7, with 1/2” -13 x 2 3/4” long carriage bolts (#2), lock nuts (#3). Tighten all nuts and bolts to torque as indicated in the “Torque Values Chart for Common Bolt Sizes” on page 27.
