[Color Mode]

Recording modes:

Settings: [STANDARD] / [VIVID]1 (Vivid looking picture) /

[Happy]2 (For taking a picture with a higher level of color brightness and vividness) / [B&W] / [SEPIA]

[AF Assist Lamp]

3 The following modes are fixed to [OFF]: [Scenery] [Night Scenery] [Handheld Night Shot] [Sunset] [Through window]

Switches on the lamp in poor light to facilitate focusing.

••The AF Assist Lamp has an effective range of approx. 1.5m (5 feet).

Settings

[ON]

The lamp lights up in poor ambient light when the shutter button is pressed halfway

[OFF]

The lamp does not light up, regardless of the ambient light. (taking pictures of animals in

the dark, etc.)

 

●●Do not cover the lamp with your fingers or look at it from close range.

[Red-Eye Removal]

Recording modes:

4 The setting is set to [OFF] except in the following Scene modes: [Portrait] [Soft Skin] [Night Portrait] [Baby]

This mode automatically detects red-eye and corrects still picture data when recording

with the flash modes with red-eye reduction ().

Settings: [ON] / [OFF]

●●Depending on the circumstances, it may not be possible to correct red-eye. ●●When this function is set to [ON], the flash icon changes to []/[]. ●●This function only works when the camera detects a subject as a face.
