Each hard disk drive has two status LEDs on the front. The green LED 1 (bottom) indicates activity and the amber LED 2 (top) indicates the RAID status.

The SGPIO connector of the 4–port SATA cable in the chassis should be connected to the J45 connector on the system board. See “Locating parts on the system board” on page 13.

The function of the amber LED 2 is only available after you enter the operating system.
