BROIL (Upper Oven)
Your oven is designed for closed door broiling.
Buses an intense heat radiation from the upper gas burner. The Broil function works best when broiling thin, tender cuts of meat (1” or less), poultry or fish.
CAUTION
yy DO NOT use a broiler pan without a grid. Oil can cause a grease fire.
yy DO NOT cover the grid and broiler pan with aluminum foil. Doing so will cause a fire.
NOTE
yy Use a mbroil to broil foods such as poultry and thick cuts of meat.
yy Remove the pan from the oven to cool down for easy cleaning.
yy For best results, use a pan designed for broiling, as shown below. The broiler pan will catch grease spills and the grid will help prevent grease splatters.
To set the upper oven to BROIL
1Press the Bkey once for l and twice for m.
2Press the qkey.
3Allow the broiler to preheat for five minutes.
4Place food in the upper oven.
5Closed the oven door. The oven door must be closed during broiling.
NOTE
If the oven door remains open for more than 15 seconds during broil, the burner will shut off. The broil burner will automatically come back on once the door is closed.

6When broiling is finished, press the Ykey.
NOTE
During any Broil function, it is normal for the broiler to cycle on and off.
When broiling on rack position ‘B’ in the upper oven, use the offset rack provided for better cooking results.
