Troubleshooting and maintenance

Troubleshooting

Occasionally you may find that your KOLEKTOR fails to respond in the way you expect when you press a key. This will often be because you have pressed a key you did not intend to, which makes your KOLEKTOR behave in an unfamiliar or unexpected way.

The following is a list of symptoms and cures.

There is no sound from the speakers!

Check that the MUTE indicator is not lit.

Check that your audio source is actually playing and that the correct source is selected.

I cannot change sources!

Check that the LOCK indicator is not displayed. If necessary unlock the source by pressing the RECORD button.

Poor response to handset commands

Direct sunlight, halogen lamps, and fluorescent bulbs can seriously interfere with infra-red handset reception. Placing the KOLEKTOR in the vicinity of any of these sources of interference can affect the response to handset commands.
