Recording
By default, the system is set to immediately record video from connected cameras in
Continuous Recording Mode.
Recording—Continuous: Normal, continuous recording
You can set the system to stop recording once the hard drive is full, or to continually record
by overwriting previously recorded data. For more details, see “Configuring Hard Drive
settings” on page 42.

Event Recording

The system also includes motion recording:
Recording—Motion: The system records when motion is detected by the camera

Recording Audio

The system can also record audio for each channel (

4/8/16 audio channels depending on

your respective model

).
To enable audio recording:
1Connect the BNC video cable from the camera
to one of the BNC ports on the rear panel of the
system. For example, connect the camera to
BNC port 1.
2Connect the RCA audio cable from the camera
to the corresponding audio channel. Following
the example in step 1, you would connect the
cable to audio port 1.
3Open the Main Menu and click RECORD.
4Under AUDIO, select ENABLE.
5Click APPLY.
6Click EXIT in all menus until all windows are closed.
NOTE: 16-channel models require an audio-harness. For details, see “Appendix J:
Recording Audio” on page 115.
