Advanced Configuration
Access Control
The Access Control page in the XRouter Pro can block or allow specified web sites to the entire LAN when enabled. For example, if you wanted to stop users on the LAN from accessing the web site “www.yahoo.com”, you would use the Access Control page to block URL access to this site.
To Enable or Disable the URL access feature of the XRouter Pro, select Enable or Disable for the URL Access Limit buttons.
To block access to a web site, select Block from Website Access but- tons, then type in the specific URL in one of the Site fields. For exam- ple, if access to “http://www.yahoo.com” needed to block, you would simply type in www.yahoo.com into one of the Site fields. All other web sites would still be accessible.
To only allow access to specific web sites, select Allow from the Website Access buttons, then type in the specific URL in one of the Site fields. For example, if access to “http://www.yahoo.com” is need- ed, you would simply type in www.yahoo.com into one of the Site fields. By using the Allow feature, only web sites enter into the fields will be allowed. All other web sites will be blocked.
