8 Press SETUP to remove the menu.

9 Press POWER to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD and set the timer recording. The red REC/OTR light will appear.

You must turn off the TV/VCR/DVD to activate timer recording. If the power is not off and you continue watching TV, TIMER REC STANDBY starts flashing on the screen two minutes before the programmed start time. Turn off the unit to do the recording.

Helpful Hints

To correct information while set- ting the Timer Recording, press s to go back one step and select the incorrect information. Press or to enter the cor- rect information.

While a timer recording is in progress, the red REC/OTR light will flash.

If a timer recording is set for hours or days later, you can use the TV/VCR/DVD until then. Just be sure to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD about five minutes before the recording. Set the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver if appropriate.

If the record tab is missing, the videotape will eject when you press POWER to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD. Insert a record- able tape for the timer recording.
