58 Parental Controls Password (DVDs)

Parental Controls blocks viewing of DVDs that exceed the limits you set. This feature will not limit viewing if the DVD maker did not code the DVD. So, make sure your DVDs play according to your settings before you allow children access to the TV/VCR/DVD. Follow the steps below to change your Parental Controls password.

Before you begin, press SELECT to put the2-5

TV/VCR/DVD in DVD mode. The green DVD light will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD.

Helpful Hints

If you forget the password, you can reset all of the Player’s set- tings to the factory presets.

Remove the Disc from the Player. When in DVD mode, press the Number buttons 1,2,3,4, then press the DISPLAY button. Then, press the Number button 3. “EEPROM CLEAR:OK” will appear and the original set- tings of the Player will be restored. Press the SELECT but- ton to put the unit in TV/VCR mode, or turn off the unit.

Write down your password in case you forget it.

Asterisks (*) will appear instead of your password to protect the privacy of the password.

The unit will retain the password after a power failure.
