Stereo Sound Mode

When playing Audio CDs that are recorded in stereo (on the
right and left channels), you can choose to hear the right, left,
or both channels (stereo).
Before you begin, press SELECT to put the
TV/VCR/DVD in DVD mode. The green DVD light
will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD.
1Press AUDIO repeatedly during playback to
choose AUDIO STEREO, AUDIO L-CH, or
AUDIO R-CH.
AUDIO STEREO
Only the right channel is active.
AUDIO L-CH
AUDIO R-CH
Only the left channel is active.
Both right and left channels
are active (stereo).

• If a desired audio language is
not available after pressing
AUDIO several times, the DVD
does not have that language.
• Some DVDs only allow you to
change the language in the Disc
menu. Details are on page 48.

Audio Language

You can select a language for DVDs during playback if multi-
ple languages are available on the DVD.
Before you begin, press SELECT to put the
TV/VCR/DVD in DVD mode. The green DVD light
will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD.
1During DVD playback, press AUDIO so the
audio display appears on the screen.
2Within five seconds, press AUDIO repeatedly
to choose one of the available languages. The
number of available languages appears at the right of
the audio display. In this example, eight languages are
available ( /8).
The language may be abbreviated (such as ENG for
English in this example). Other details about the avail-
able audio also may appear.
