Audio Settings (DVD mode) 65

Choose the appropriate Audio Settings for your equipment and Discs. These settings only affect playback of Discs in the TV/VCR/DVD.

Before you begin, press SELECT to put the TV/VCR/DVD in DVD mode. The green DVD light will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD.

1 While playback is stopped, press SETUP twice. The SET-UP screen will appear.

2 Press the Number 3 button to select AUDIO.

 

Press o or p to select an item, then follow

If you selected DRC, press ENTER repeatedly

to turn Dynamic Range Control (DRC) ON or OFF.

This levels the sound volume by suppressing loud

 

sound and raising the volume of low sound.

 

If you selected DOLBY DIGITAL, press

 

ENTER repeatedly to turn DOLBY DIGITAL

 

ON or OFF. Select ON if you connected the

 

TV/VCR/DVD to a stereo that is Dolby Digital com-

 

patible. Details are on page 10.

 

 

 

 

 

If you selected DOWN SAMPLING, press

 

ENTER. Then, press or to select AUTO,

 

48 kHz, or 96 kHz, then press ENTER. The

 

AUDIO CONTROLS menu will reappear.

 

Select 96 kHz if the DVD was recorded in PCM (Pulse

 

Code Modulation) 96 kHz. Otherwise, select 48 kHz.
