One-Touch Recording 27

A One-Touch Recording (OTR) is an immediate timed
recording from 30 minutes to eight hours long.
This function cannot be done from the remote control.
Recording starts immediately when you press REC/OTR.
Before you begin,make sure ...
The TV/VCR power is on and has a videotape with a
record tab.
If necessary,rewind or fast forward the tape to the point
at which you want to begin recording.
1Press the Number buttons or CH(annel) o/p
to select the channel you want to record.
Remember,if the TV/VCR is connected to a Cable
Box or Satellite Receiver,the TV/VCR must be on
channel 3 or 4.Select the channel you want to record
at the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver.
2Press SPEED to select a tape speed (SP/ SLP).

3Press REC/OTR on the front of the TV/VCR to
select a recording length.Each press of REC/OTR
will increase the recording time by 30 minutes.You
may select a maximum recording length of eight
hours.
When recording finishes,the TV/VCR will turn
itself off. To stop an OTR,press STOP/p.
To show the remaining time,press
DISPLAY.OTR and the remaining
recording time will appear briefly.
The maximum recording time of a
T-160 tape in SLP speed is 8
hours (assuming you start at the
beginning of the tape).A T-120
tape has a maximum of 6 hours
recording time in SLP speed.
If the tape ends before the
recordings end time,the TV/VCR
will stop recording,eject the tape,
and turn itself off.
You can turn off the TV/VCR dur-
ing an OTR.The recording will con-
tinue at the length you set. The
red REC/OTR light will flash dur-
ing recording.
