One-Touch Recording 27
A One-Touch Recording (OTR) is an immediate timed
recording from 30 minutes to eight hours long.
●This function cannot be done from the remote control.
●Recording starts immediately when you press REC/OTR.
Before you begin,make sure ...
●The TV/VCR power is on and has a videotape with a
record tab.
●If necessary,rewind or fast forward the tape to the point
at which you want to begin recording.
1Press the Number buttons or CH(annel) o/p
to select the channel you want to record.
Remember,if the TV/VCR is connected to a Cable
Box or Satellite Receiver,the TV/VCR must be on
channel 3 or 4.Select the channel you want to record
at the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver.
2Press SPEED to select a tape speed (SP/ SLP).

3Press REC/OTR on the front of the TV/VCR to
select a recording length.Each press of REC/OTR
will increase the recording time by 30 minutes.You
may select a maximum recording length of eight
hours.
When recording finishes,the TV/VCR will turn
itself off. • To stop an OTR,press STOP/p.
• To show the remaining time,press
DISPLAY.OTR and the remaining
recording time will appear briefly.
• The maximum recording time of a
T-160 tape in SLP speed is 8
hours (assuming you start at the
beginning of the tape).A T-120
tape has a maximum of 6 hours
recording time in SLP speed.
• If the tape ends before the
recording’s end time,the TV/VCR
will stop recording,eject the tape,
and turn itself off.
• You can turn off the TV/VCR dur-
ing an OTR.The recording will con-
tinue at the length you set. The
red REC/OTR light will flash dur-
ing recording.
