6Insert one end of the supplied power cable into the power outlet
4MAINSat the back of the DVD recorder and the other end
into the wall jack.
A message, 'IS TV ON?' will appear on the Recorder's display to
remind you to set your TV to its Audio/Video In channel.
Then, read the paragraph 'Initial installation' in the chapter'Installing your DVD recorder'.

Connecting only with the antenna cable

USE THIS CONNECTION IF YOUR TV ONLY HAS A SINGLE ANTENNA IN JACK AND
DOES NOT HAVE ANY AUDIO/VIDEO JACKS.
Have the following cables ready:
an antenna cable (supplied), and a power cable (supplied).
1Switch off your TV.
2Remove the antenna or Cable TV signal from the antenna input
jack of the TV. Connect it to the ANTENNAjack at the back of
the DVD recorder.
3Connect one end of the supplied antenna cable to the TV jack at
the back of the DVD recorder and connect the other end into
the antenna jack at the back of the TV.
4Insert one end of the supplied power cable into the power outlet
4MAINSat the back of the DVD recorder and the other end
into the wall jack.
A message, 'IS TV ON?' will appear on the Recorder's display to
remind you to set your TV to its Audio/Video In channel.
5Switch on your TV and select the channel used for DVD/VCR
playback on your TV. Choose between channel 3 or 4. Use your
TV remote to set the TV to 3 or 4.
