2. Attach hose to bottom inlet valve opening first.
3. Attach second hose to top inlet. Tighten couplings
by hand; then use pliers to make an additional
two-thirds turn.
NOTE: Inlet valve threads are plastic. Do not strip
or cross-thread.

Connect the drain hose

NOTE: Slide washer onto cardboard or hardboard before
moving across floor.
1. Move washer close to final position.
2. Put “hook” end of drain hose into laundry tub or standpipe.
3. Estimatethe length of drain hose neededwhen washer is in
finalposition. Hose must be cut exactlyto length so “hook”
endis held tightly over edge of standpipe.
Ifdrain hose is too long,
cutstraight end of hose.
(Donot cut the “hook”
shapedend of the drain
hose.)
NOTE:Do not force
excesslength of drain
hosedown the
standpipe.This could
causesiphoning.
4. Placethe hose clamp
overthe washer drain
connector.Push the
drainhose onto the
washerconnector. Use
pliersto open clamp and
slideclamp over drain
hose.Check for good fit.
5. Measureand mark a point approximately406 mm (16")
fromthe plug end of the shipping strap. Cutshipping strap at
thispoint.

6. Checkthat hose is not twisted or kinked andis
securelyin place.
Put“hook” end of drain hose into standpipe.
Tightlywrap the shipping strap aroundthe
standpipe.Push plug into the nearest holein
theshipping strap.

Connect the inlet hoses to the water taps

1. Beforeattaching water inlet hoses tothe water taps, run
waterthrough both taps into a bucket. Thiswill get rid of
particlesin water lines that might cloghoses. Mark which is
thehot water tap.
2. Installa black plastic tap adapter on eachinlet hose.
3. Attachbottom hose (inlet marked “H”)to hot water taps.
Tightencoupling to taps by hand.
4. Attachtop hose (inlet marked “C”) to coldwater taps. Tighten
couplingto taps by hand.
5. Usepliers to make an additional two-thirdsturn to each
coupling.
Level the Washer

Install the front leveling feet

1. Stacktwo corner posts on top of each other.Tilt washer
backwardand insert corner posts 76 mm (3")in from one side
ofwasher as shown. Repeat with other cornerposts on other
sideof washer.
2. Usethe leveling legs and nuts from partspackage. Screw nut
downto within 13 mm (1/2") from base.
3. Insertlegs into correct holes
ateach front corner of washer
untilnuts touch washer.
Donot tighten nuts until
thewasher is leveled.
4. Tiltwasher backward and
removecorner posts. Gently
lowerwasher to floor.
5. Movewasher to its permanent
location.Remove cardboard or
hardboardfrom under washer.
