2.3Safety mechanisms

As well as the warning symbols (dependent on nationality) affixed to the equipment, the equipment also has several active safety mechanisms.

2.3.1Power switch

-c5 coffee maker power switch. Activation with key card.

-cw cup warmer power switch (toggle switch with integrated light)

2.3.2Pressure relief valve

The c5 coffee maker is equipped with inter- nal pressure relief valves which monitor the flow heater pressure and the boiler pres- E sure.

2.4Authorised persons

2.4.1General

Only persons who are authorised to do so may work on or with the equipment.

A person is deemed to be authorised if he/ she satisfies the minimum training and knowledge requirements listed in this chap- ter and has been assigned a fixed area of responsibility.

2.4.2Areas of responsibility of personnel

2.4.2.1Operator

As the most senior person from the legal point of view, the operator is responsible for the proper use of the equipment and for the training and deployment of authorised per- sonnel.

He records the competencies and of autho- rised persons, including whether they have the authority to give orders, for his busi- ness.

His tasks include the following:

-He sets or resets the equipment to the beverages that are currently to be dis- pensed, if he wishes to dispense differ- ent beverages than those that the supplier configured upon delivery or in- stallation of the equipment.
