cwarranty extension up to 4 years Pulsar 4: in certain countries, the standard 2-year guarantee can be extended to 4 years (batteries included) to ensure total peace of mind;

c"Fault-tolerant" module: in the event of an overload or a fault on the UPS, the bypass switches the load to AC power without any interruption. If your Pulsar EX is fitted with this module, check with your usual installation electrician that the electrical installation is compatible;

c"Hot-swap" pack: made up of the

"Fault-tolerant" module and a withdrawable manual bypass. The Pulsar EX can be turned off, without interrupting the power supply to the load, and serviced in complete safety. This plug-in module enables the faulty UPS to be replaced without interrupting the power supply to the load (hot-swap feature). The UPS is available with optional USE, DIN, BS or IEC230 outlets. As a standard feature, it is fitted with an IEC320/C20 socket for connection to the input source and terminal blocks for upstream and downstream connections, depending on the selected configuration;

cUM Sensor environment monitoring unit: compatible with our Solution-Pac™ and Management-Pac™ software offer, this unit measures the temperature and relative humidity in the room where it is installed. Eight relay contacts are provided to transmit signals, in the form of volt free contacts or voltage levels to enable monitoring of fire alarms, climate control faults, intrusion alarms, etc.;

cUM-Switch™ module for extended Powershare functionality: UM-Switch is available as an option with Pulsar EX, bringing you Powershare power sharing features on a PC or network management station (with Solution-Pac™).UM-Switch outputs can be remotely controlled for:

v remote reset of faulty devices (for example, a module in a hub stack),

v programming of startup sequences so that systems can be started in a specific order or to prevent overloading caused by starting several devices simultaneously,

v monitoring the power supply to each protected device;

cMonitor Light™ : this mini-terminal enables users to monitor Pulsar EX operating modes - load on battery, load on automatic bypass, etc. - at distances of up to a hundred metres and receive any alarm messages (low-battery shutdown warnings, mains outage, operation on bypass, etc.).

ccommunication cables: these cables are used for the file-closing utilities offered by a number of network operating systems. They are available for Novell NetWare, Microsoft Lan Manager and Windows NT, IBM Lan Server, IBM AS400, Artisoft LANtastic, Banyan Vines, and many others;
