Setting the water softener
^Turn the machine off.
^Turn the program selector to "Stop" f.
^Press and hold the "Display" and "Start" buttons. At the same time, turn the machine on with the "On/Off" button. The display shows the current program status "P...".
The "Fill/Drain" indicator will illuminate.
^Press the "Drying" button once. "E01" appears in the display.

The display shows "19". (Factory setting of the water softener in gr/gal).
^Press and hold the "Display" button until the desired setting water hardness (in gr/gal) shows up in the display.
The counter starts with "0" after reaching "60".
^Press the "Start" button. "SP" appears in the display.
^Press the "Start" button again. The setting will be stored and the display field clears.
If there is a fault, it will be helpful to know the water hardness of the local water supply.
^Enter the local water hardness level here:
^If your water is already soft and you would like to deactivate the water softener, set the hardness setting to "0".
