Problem solving guide

With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily cor- rected. If you are unable to correct the problem, please contact the Miele Ser- vice Department.

Miele cannot be responsible for prob- lems resulting from improper installa- tion or maintenance.

Any work on the electrical compo- nents of the appliance should only be performed by a qualified and trained person in accordance with local and national regulations. Unauthorized or incorrect repairs could cause per- sonal injury or damage the machine.

Problems/possible causes.

The dishwasher does not start.

–The door is not closed properly.

–The plug is not inserted properly.

–The circuit breaker is defective or has tripped.

–A programme selction button has not been pressed.

Shortly after starting a programme the dishwasher stops working

–The water shut-off valve is closed. *

–The water intake filter is clogged (see “Cleaning and care”). *

–To little water may be entering the machine. This may be due to insuffi- cient water pressure. *

–The drain hose is kinked. *

–The drain pump is blocked (see “Cleaning and care”). *

*The Indicator lamp of the selected programme will flash when the door is opened if this is the problem.
