Drain hose connection:

Additional note.

The drain hose should be connected di- rectly to large drain pipes. By no means should connection be extended with 3/4" hose or smaller! Connection to drain should be adjacent to dishwasher

–left or right, but NEVER BEHIND! Change existing installation to comply with Miele installation instructions.

Since all Miele dishwashers are equipped with an odour trap and non- return valve, the drain hose can be con- nected directly to the drain pipe as illus- trated.

If plumbing codes require an external air gap on the discharge side of the dishwasher, the following requirements must be met:

–No part the drain hose should be higher than 1 m (39").

–The drain connection should be made as close as possible to the dishwasher.

–The internal diameter (22 mm or 7/8") of the drain hose should not be re- duced at any point.
