Using the oven

Controls

The oven is operated with the function selector and the temperature selector.

Function selector

Use the function selector to select the required oven function.

The function selector can be turned clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Do not attempt to turn it all the way round in either direction as this will damage the selector.

Light H/v

For switching on the oven light independently.

Depending on model, oven settings can also be changed when the function selector is at this position. See "Altering oven settings".

Conventional A

For long, slow baking or traditional recipes, e.g. fruit cake, casseroles.

Gentle bake x

For cooking dishes that require a crispy finish, e.g. soufflés and gratins.

Grill n

For grilling fish and cuts of meat such as chops, steaks, and kebabs. Grill with the oven door closed.

Rapid heat-up Ä

For reducing the heating up time and for pre-heating the oven.

Also useful for cooking ready made meals.

Fan plus Y

For baking or cooking on several levels at the same time.

Fan grill N

For grilling thick cuts, e.g. rolled meat, poultry.

Grill with the oven door closed.

Pyrolytic .

For cleaning the oven interior.
