Opening the drum door in the event of a power failure
^Switch the washing machine off.
There is a lever behind the detergent drawer facia panel.
^Drain the water as described in the "Cleaning the fluff filter and pump" section of "Cleaning and care".
,Always make sure that the drum is stationary before reaching into the machine to remove laundry.
Reaching into a moving drum is extremely dangerous.
^ | Remove the lever. |
^ | Use it to open the access flap. |
^Pull the emergency release downwards (see illustration). The drum door will open.
