As the Sensor must be located in one location and the Controller in a location where it can be easily reached, it is often necessary to “separate” the Controller and Sensor.
The Sensor separation kit (SEP) is composed of a junction box and terminal strip. Refer to the Net Safety
Shielded copper instrument wire (minimum 18 AWG) should be used for separations up to 500 feet. Shielded copper instrument wire (minimum
16 AWG) should be used for separations up to 2000 feet. Consult the factory if a greater separation distance is required.
Ensure that the appropriate wire is used for Class 1/Division 1 hazardous applications.
