MAINTENANCE

WARNING

When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product changes.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of injury, always shut off engine and relieve system pressure before performing any maintenance. Never disassemble the machine.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

NOTE: The Honda GX390 engine has a separate warranty found in the engine manual (included with this product).

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

Only the parts shown on the parts list are intended to be repaired or replaced by the customer. All other parts should be replaced at an authorized service center.

WARNING

Never let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious per- sonal injury.

Before running the engine, perform the following pre- operation steps:

1.Check that all bolts, nuts, etc., are securely tight- ened.

2.Make sure the air filter is clean (see separate engine manual).

3.Check both the engine oil level and the fuel tank level; refill as needed.

4.Inspect the work area for hazards.

5.If there is excessive noise or vibration, stop the unit immediately.

NOZZLE MAINTENANCE

Excessive pump pressure (a pulsing sensation felt while squeezing the trigger) may be the result of a clogged or dirty nozzle.

1.Turn off the pressure washer and shut off the water supply. Pull trigger to release water pressure.

2.Remove the nozzle from the spray wand. NOTE: Never point the spray wand at your face.

3.Using the nozzle cleaning tool provided, free any for- eign materials clogging or restricting the nozzle.
