To clear a paper misfeed in the duplexing document feeder

1Open the left-side misfeed-clearing

cover.

2Carefully pull out any documents

from the document feed tray.

3Open the right-side misfeed-

clearing cover.

4Turn the dial counterclockwise to

feed out any documents.

5Carefully pull out any documents.

6Open the guide.

7Turn the dial to feed out any

documents.

8Carefully pull out the documents.

9Carefully open the duplexing feed

guide as far as possible.

Check that the guide remains

securely open.
