3.1 Power Switch and Default Settings

Turning the Copier On and Off
To turn the copier on
§Set the power switch to “I”.
When the copier is turned on, the
indicator on the [Start] key lights up in
orange. A screen indicating that the
machine is starting up appears.
After a few seconds, the message “Now
warming-up. Ready to scan.” appears
on the touch panel. When the indicator
on the [Start] key lights up in green, a
job can be queued.
To turn the copier off
1Touch [Job Log] to check that no jobs are queued.
2If any copies or printouts remain in the output tray, remove them.
3Set the power switch to “O”.
The following are cleared.
GSettings that are not programmed, such as the number of copies
GData scanned using the “Scan to Memory” function
GJobs queued to be printed
GJobs saved with the “Memory Recall” function
Stored zoom ratios, programmed Copy mode settings, Utility mode
settings and UserBox settings are not erased.
