Connecting Using Undecoded Scanner Emulation

To perform undecoded scanner emulation, connect the scanner to a portable data terminal, or a controll er which

collects the data and interprets it for the host.

1. Connect the undecoded interface cable to the bottom of the scanne r, as described in Installing the Interface

Cable on page 1-3.

2. Connect the other end of the interface cable to the scanner port on the portable data terminal or controller.

3. Scan the appropriate bar codes in this chapter to configu re the scanner.
