Group Calls

A Group Call is a communication between you and others in a group. A group is a pre-defined set of subscribers enabled to participate in and/or invoke a Group Call.

A Talkgroup is a pre-defined set of subscribers enabled to participate in and/or invoke a Group Call, that is set up by your Service Provider.

Selecting a Talkgroup

You select a talkgroup from a list of pre-programmed Favorite Groups, by using the Rotary Switch.

Rotate the Rotary Switch to the requested pre-programmed talkgroup. The group attachment occurs for the new selected talkgroup. You have access up to 10 talkgroups.

Entering TMO or DMO

Enter TMO or DMO in one of the following ways:

Change groups using the Rotary Switch.

Press the TMO/DMO Button.

You can make and receive the following types of calls in Trunked and Direct Operation Modes:

Group Calls

Emergency Calls

TMO Group Calls

In TMO the TCR1000 is used with your Service Provider’s infrastructure.

Making a TMO Group Call

1.In TMO, press and hold the PTT.

2.Wait for the talk permit tone and then speak into the microphone. Release the PTT button to listen.

When you start a call, all members of the selected group who have their units turned on, will receive the Group Call.
