Entering Text

Multiple text entry methods make it easy for you to enter names, numbers, and messages on your phone.

Choosing a Text Method

Press M from any text entry screen. The symbol for the active method displays at the top of the text entry screen:

iTAP (é)	Let the phone predict each word as you
	enter it (see page 70).
Tap (t)	Enter letters, numbers, and symbols by
	pressing a key one or more times, (see
	page 66).
Numeric (è)	Enter numbers only.
Symbol (ê)	Enter symbols only, (see page 69).
Browse	Browse your phonebook or recent call
	lists to select a name or number.

Note: The text method you select remains active until you select another method.
