General Text Entry Rules

Press a number key repeatedly to cycle through its characters. See “Character Chart” on page 68.

Press a number key as many times as necessary to enter the desired character at flashing cursor location.

Press and hold a number key to cycle between text and numeric entry modes.

Change letter in block cursor to uppercase or lowercase.

Move flashing cursor to the left or right in text message.

Entering Text

•If you do not press a key for 2 seconds, the character in the block cursor is accepted, and the cursor moves to the next position.

•The first character of every sentence is capitalized. (Press S down to force the character to lowercase while it is highlighted by the block cursor).
