TROUBLESHOOTING

Practically all breakdowns can be prevented by proper handling and maintenance inspections, but in the event of a breakdown, please take remedial action following the diagnosis based on the troubleshooting tables. If the problem cannot be remedied, please leave the unit as is and consult Multiquip's technical support department or your local dealer.

	No Voltage Output	Is wiring connection loose?	Check wiring and repair.
	No Voltage Output	Defective Rectiﬁer?	Check and replace.
		Defective Rectiﬁer?	Check and replace.
	Low Voltage Output	Is engine speed correct?	Turn engine throttle lever to “High”.
	Low Voltage Output	Is wiring connection loose?	Check wiring and repair.
		Is wiring connection loose?	Check wiring and repair.
	High Voltage Output	Are wiring connections loose?	Check wiring and repair.
		Short Circuit in load?	Check load and repair.
	Circuit Breaker Tripped	Over current?	Conﬁrm load requirements and reduce.
		Defective circuit breaker?	Check and replace.
		Dead battery?	Replace battery.
	Engine fails to start and	Defective ignition switch?	Replace ignition switch.
	starter does not rotate	Defective starter?	Replace starter
		Burned fuse?	Replace fuse.
	Engine fails to start and	Broken preheat circuit?	Check preheat circuit.
	Engine fails to start and	No fuel?	Add diesel fuel.
	start rotates	No fuel?	Add diesel fuel.
	start rotates	Defective wiring?	Check wiring.
		Defective wiring?	Check wiring.
