OPERATION
NOTICE
ALWAYS move the throttle lever quickly without hesitation, because increasing the engine speed slowly causes the clutch to slip.
3.To make the compactor move in the forward direction push the travel lever ( Figure 21) forward.

4.Tomakethecompactormoveinthereversedirectionpullthe travel lever ( Figure 21) backwards.
5.Firmly gasp the compactor's hand grip, the compactor will beginmovinginthedesiredpositionwhenthedirectionlever has been placed in the desired position.
6.Slowly walk behind the compactor and be on the lookout for anylargeobjectsorforeignmatterthatmightcausedamage to the compactor or bodily injury.
7.Iftravelleverisplacedintheneutralposition,themachinewill vibrate in place.
8.Tomovethecompactorlaterally,holdthehandgripfirmlyand swing compactor. DO NOT swing compactor while gripping the travel lever.
Normal Shutdown
1.Return the throttle lever to the START position (Figure 16). Allow the machine to cool down for 2 to 3minutes.
2.Place the travel lever in the NEUTRAL position.
3.Place the throttle lever in the STOPposition (Figure 22) to stop theengine. If usinganelectricstartunit, return thekeyswitchto the STOP position (Figure 23) as soon as the engine stops.
4.Close the fuel cock (Figure 15).

Emergency Shutdown
1.For a recoil start type engine, move the throttle lever quickly to the STOP position.
2.For a electric start type engine, place the engine IGNITION switch in the OFF position.
STOWING THE HANDLE
1.Push up the handle upward (Figure 24) until the handle locks in place.
