Chapter1 Installingand Configuring the SCXI-119X

Toconnect the chassis to a DAQdevice, complete the following steps while

referring to Figure 1-2:

orComputer-Based Instrument

1. Poweroff both the SCXI chassis and the computer that contain s the

DAQdevice or computer-based instrument.

2. Insertthe cable adapter into the back of the S CXI chassis aligned with

the module that is to be connected to the DAQdevice or

computer-basedinstrument. See your cable assembly installation

guide for more specificinformati on.

3. Connectthe cableto the back of the cable adapter, ensuring that the

cable fitssecurely.

4. Connectthe other end of the cable to the DAQ device or

computer-basedinstrument th at you will use to control the SCXI

system.
