e. Changethe Connected to selection from None to Connected to:
Devicex.
•Ifyou get the warning message Failed to findfollowedbythe
module codes and the message Unable to communicate with
chassis,take the following troubleshooting acti ons:
a. Makesure that the SCXI chassis is powered on.
b. Makesure the cable between the SCXI chassis and DAQdevice or
computer-basedinstrument is properly connected.
c. Inspectthe cable and theconnectors for anybent pins.
d. Makesure you are using the correct National Instruments cable
assembly.
e. Testyour DAQdevice or computer-based instrument to verify it is
workingproperly. Refer to your DAQ device or computer-based
instrument user manual for more information.
•Ifyou get the warning message Failed to find, followed by
modulecodes and then the message Instead found: module with
ID 0Xxx:
a. Return to the Connecting the SCXI-119X to a DAQ Device or
Computer-Based Instrument section and make sure the correct
module is in the specified slot.
b. Deletethe incorrect module as described in the Removing the
SCXI-119Xfrom an SCXI Chassis section.
c. Add the correct module as describedin the Manu ally Adding
Modules section.
•Ifyou get the warning message Failed to find,followedbya
module code and then the message Slot x is empty:
a. Checkto see if the configured module is installed in the specified
slot. If not, install the module by referring to the Installing the
Hardwaresection.
b. Ifthe module is installed in the correct slot, turn off the chassis,
and removethe module as specified in the Removing the
SCXI-119Xfrom an SCXI Chassis section. Verify that no
connectorpins are bent on the rear signal connector. Reinstall the
module,ensuring the module is fully inserted and properly aligned
in the slot.
•Afterchecking the preceding items, return to the Self-Test Verification
sectionand retest your SCXI chassis.
