3.10.3 Manual Rebuild
For manual rebuild, follow the procedure below.
1.Click a degraded disk array in the Tree View.
2.Click the arrow at the right end of the Background Activities tab in the Management Window and select Start Rebuild
3. Specify source and target HDDs on rebuild.
Source Physical Drive | Specify a normal physical drive used to configure a logical |
| drive in the critical state. |

Target Physical Drive | Specify the target HDD on rebuild. |
4. Click [Submit].
During the rebuild operation, the progress appears in the Background Activities tab.
As soon as the rebuild is completed, the status display of logical drives is returned to the normal state.
NOTES:
After rebuild is completed, be sure to see the event log to check whether one or more errors occur during the rebuild. If a media error occurred, a message indicating the occurrence appears before the message showing that the rebuild is completed without any problem.
To install a new HDD for replacement, wait for 90 sec or longer after the removal of the defected HDD.
