Higher ISO sensitivity allows darker subjects to be captured. Additionally, even with subjects of similar brightness, images can be taken at faster shutter speeds, and blurring caused by camera shake and subject movement can be reduced.

When higher ISO sensitivity is set, images may contain noise.

Auto (default setting):

 

 

ISO sensitivity is automatically adjusted within a range

 

 

from ISO 80 to 3200.

• Fixed range auto:

 

The range in which the camera automatically adjusts ISO

 

 

sensitivity can be selected from YISO 80-400, Z

 

 

ISO 80-800 or AISO 80-1600.

 

• 80 to 6400, Hi 1 (equivalent to ISO 12800):

 

 

ISO sensitivity is fixed at the specified value.

 

 

 

Set the shutter speed at which ISO sensitivity starts to be

 

automatically adjusted when the shooting mode is A or C.

 

If the exposure is insufficient with the shutter speed that is set

When Auto is selected, Eis displayed if the ISO sensitivity automatically increases.

When ISO 80-400,ISO 80-800, or ISO 80-1600 is selected, the maximum value for ISO sensitivity is displayed.

B Notes About ISO Sensitivity

In D (manual) mode, when set to Auto, ISO 80-400,ISO 80-800, or ISO 80- 1600, the ISO sensitivity is fixed at ISO 80.

The setting may not be changed when using certain settings of other functions.
