Shooting Features
G(Easy Auto) ModeWhen you frame a picture, the camera automatically selects the optimum scene for simple shooting.
Display the shooting screen MA(shooting mode) button MG(Easy auto) mode (A24, 25)
When the camera is pointed at the subject, the camera automatically switches to the setting that is suited for one of the following shooting scenes.

1If the camera switches to night landscape or night portrait scene mode, it shoots a single picture at a slow shutter speed.
2The camera is switched to underwater mode when it is lowered into water.
•When the digital zoom is in effect, the shooting scene is set to U.
•The focus area changes depending on which scene the camera selects. The camera detects and focuses on faces (see “Using Face Detection” (A62) for more information).

The desired scene mode may not be selected in certain conditions. In this case, select another shooting mode.
BNote after Taking the Camera out of the Water
After taking the camera out of water, sometimes it may not automatically switch to another scene from underwater mode.
Gently brush any water droplets with your hand from the camera or wipe it off with a soft and dry cloth. See “Cleaning after Using the Camera Underwater” (Axiv) for more information on caring for the camera.
