By adjusting exposure compensation when taking pictures, you can adjust overall image brightness.
1 Press K (o exposure compensation) on the multi selector.

CExposure Compensation Value
•The changed exposure compensation value applied in A(auto) mode is saved in the camera’s memory even after the camera is turned off.
•When the shooting mode is the Fireworks show (A39) in scene mode, the exposure compensation cannot be used.
•When the exposure compensation is set while using a flash, the compensation is applied to both the background exposure and to the flash output.
