Preparation 1 Charge the Battery

The Basics of Shooting and Playback

1Connect the power cable in the order indicated below.

2Insert the included Rechargeable Li-ion

Battery EN-EL12 into the included Battery Charger MH-65 by sliding the battery forward (1), and then press down until it locks into place (2).

• The CHARGE lamp starts flashing when charging starts.

• A fully-exhausted battery charges in about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

•When charging is complete, the CHARGE lamp lights.

•See “Understanding the CHARGE Lamp” (A 11).

3When charging is complete, remove the battery, and then unplug the charger.
