Understanding the CHARGE Lamp

Status Description
Flashes Battery charging.
On Battery fully charged.
Flashes quickly
The battery is not inserted correctly. Remove the battery and reinsert it into
the battery charger so that the battery is lying flat.
The ambient temperature is not suited to charging. Charge the battery
indoors with an ambient temperature of 5°C–35°C (41°F–95°F) before use.
The battery is faulty. Stop charging immediately, unplug the charger, and
take both the battery and charger to your retailer or Nikon-authorized
service representative.

CAC Power Source
You can use the AC Adapter EH-62F (available separately; E63) to power the camera from an
electrical outlet, enabling taking and playing back pictures.
Do not, under any circumstances, use an AC adapter other than the EH-62F. Failure to observe this
precaution could result in overheating or in damage to the camera.
