Using the Flash

You can set the flash mode to match the shooting conditions.

The flash mode selected while using APoint and shoot (A34) is saved in the camera’s memory even after the camera is turned off.

Enter shooting mode Mflexible button 2 (Z) Mflexible button 2 (xFlash)

Available Flash Modes

wAuto flash

The flash fires automatically when lighting is dim.

kis displayed in the shooting screen when this feature is enabled.

yFlash off

The flash does not fire.

We recommend using a tripod to stabilize the camera when shooting in dark surroundings.

xAlways fire flash

The flash fires whenever a picture is taken. Use to “fill-in” (illuminate) shadows and backlit subjects.
