The Basics of Shooting and Playback

1Hold the camera steady.

• Keep fingers, hair, the camera strap, and other objects away from the lens, flash, and microphone.

2Frame the picture.

• When the camera detects a human face, that face is framed by a yellow double border (focus area).

• When shooting non-human subjects or when no faces are
detected, the camera focuses on the subject in the center
of the frame. Position the main subject near the center of	780

C When Using a Tripod

We recommend using a tripod to stabilize the camera in the following situations.

•When shooting in dimly lit conditions with the flash mode (A44) set to yFlash off
