A(Auto) Mode

The camera automatically selects the optimum scene mode when you frame a picture.

The area of the frame that the camera focuses on varies depending on the composition of the picture.

When the camera detects a human face, it focuses on that face (A56). The skin softening feature makes the skin tones in human faces appear smoother (A58).

The flash may fire when shooting in low light.

When shooting in low light, the use of a tripod is recommended.

The camera does not detect the scene when the digital zoom is being used.
