TheCROSS TRAINER• is deslgned to be changed from station to station quickly and easily. Theinstru_ons below
describehow each part of the CROSS TRAINER e can be adjusted. Please read these insf'nJdlonscarefullybefore using
theCROSS TRAINERe. ReFertopages 17 through 24 of this owner's manual to seehow the CROSS TRAINER • should
be setup for each individual exercise.
IMPORTANT: For effecffve exercise, the CROSSTRAINERe mustbe set up correctly for each exercise. When attach-
ing the lat bar, rower bar or strap, attach them directly to the CROSS TRAJNER• or usethe chain Io attach them;
make sure that the lat bar, rower bar or strap is in the coned starting Pasi_on for each exercise. If there isany
slackin the cable or chain as you perform an exercise, the effecffvenessof the exercise will be reduced.
1. CHANGING THE STEPPING RESISTANCE

1"ochangethe resisfanceof the Pedals(75, 76)° first
llftthe Pedals off the hooksat the lower endsof the
ResistanceCylinders(84}. Move the hooksto differ-
ent slotsunder the pedals. Make sure that the hooks
are fully inserted into the some slatsunder beth
Pedals.The farther the hooks are from the Tower
Frame (10}, the greater the resistancewill be.
WARNING: TheResistance Cylinders becomevery
hot during use.Allow the ResistanceCylinders fo
coolbefore touchlng them.
CHANGING THE ARMS TO THE BUT/'ERFLY
MODE AND PRESSMODE
TheArms (15, 16) can be changed to eitherthe but-
lerfly mode or thepress mode. Toperform the BUT-
TERFLYexercise, changethe Arms to thebutterfly
mode by tumlng theSeledor Knob (55) clack'wise as
shownby the decal. To perform the BENCH PRESS
exercise,change the Arms ta the press modeby
tumlng the SelectorKnob counterdockwlse.
3. AI"I'ACHING THE/.AT BAR,ROWER BAR OR
STRAPTO THE HIGH PULLEY STATION
Attach the LatBar (36) to the Main Cable (51) with a
Cable Clip (33). For someexercises, the Chain138)
shouldbe attached between the Eat Bar and the
Main Cable with two Cable Clips.Adjust the length
of the Chain between the Eat Bar and theMain
Cable so the bat Bar isin the €orred starting posi-
tion for the exerc|se to be performed.
The Rower Bar (34} or the Strap (35) can be
attached in the somemanner.
