TROUBLE-SHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE

Inspectand tighlenall partseach time you usethe CROSS TRAINERe. Replace any warn parts immediately. Outside
surfacesofthe CROSSTRAINERe can be cleanedusing a damp clothand mild detergent. Keep all liquids away from
thestepperconsole andthe PERSONALTRAINERcomputer. Most CROSSTRAINER• problems can be solved byfollow-
ing theslapsbelow. Find the applicablesymptom and fallow the slap(s)lided. If further assistanceisneeded, call our

1. SYMPTOM: THE PERSONALTRAINER COMPUTER DISPLAYS AN ERROR CODE ("EEE")
a. While theweightsettingischanging,the motorwillbeheardandtheSETSandREPSdisplayswillshowarapidly
rotatingindicator.To preventdamage to the weight system,do notput any pressureonthe leg developer,arms
or cableswhiletheweight settingischanging. Ifthe tatbar or rower bar is attachedto the high pulley station,restit
inthe rock near the high pulleystation.Wait for.the soundof themotor to stopbeforeyou continue. If the comput-
er sensespressureon the weight systemwhile the weight settingischanging, theWEIGHT display will showan
error code ("EEE")for two seconds,and theweight settingwill sl-opchanging. TheWEIGHT dis'pla),willthen show
thecurrent weight setting.Make surethat there is no pressureon theleg developer, arms or cables. Pressthe
increaseordecrease button beneath theWEIGHT displayto change theweight settingas desired.
2. SYMPTOM: THE MAIN CABLE DOES NOT MOVE SMOOTHLY, OR THERE IS SLACK IN THE MAIN CABLE
a. Inspectthe routingofthecables and make surethat they are in the groovesin all of the pulleys. If they are not,
tarred theproblem. If the cables are not properly routed, they will be damaged when used..
b. If there is slackinthe Main Cable (51), locatethe
AdjustmentBracket(53)near the bottom of the
.... rightside shield.Holdthe endof the Weight Cable
(52) firmly, and slidethe AdjustmentBracket far-
theronto theWeight Cable. Tighten the 5/16" Nut
(82) ogaiestthe AdjustmentBracket.Testthe Main
Cable. Ifthe mator stallsor hesitates,loosenthe
5/16" Nut slightly.Ifthe 5/16" Nut istightened as
far aspassible and there isstill slack, the Main
Cable shouldbe replaced. See ORDERING

3.- SYMPTOM:THE STEPPERCONSOLE DOES NOT
FUNCTION PROPERLY
a, As you step, movethe stepper pedals verticallyat
least8 inches.If)our stepsare too shallow, the
movementofthe stepperpedals will not be detect-
ed. Ifthe stepperconsolestilldoes not function
properly,the Reed Switch(99) con be adjusted by
slidingthebarrel of the ReedSwitch up and down
slightly.Repeatuntilthe stepperconsole displays
correctfeedback.If necessary,the 3/4" Screw
(119} attachingtheReed SwitchBracket(120) can
be loosenedandthe positionof the Bracketcan be
adjusted.
