Using the Zoom

Use the multi selector to activate optical zoom.	Zoom in
• To zoom in closer to the subject, press H.
• To zoom out and view a larger area, press I.
When you turn the camera on, the zoom moves to the
maximum wide-angle position.

•The zoom indicator is displayed on the right side of the monitor when you press the multi selector.

When the camera is zoomed in to the maximum optical zoom position, pressing Hactivates the digital zoom.

Digital zoom can magnify the subject up to about 4× beyond the maximum magnification of the optical zoom.

•When you are using digital zoom, the camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame and the focus area is not displayed.

images, resulting in slight deterioration of picture quality depending on the Photos setting, which
