Scene Mode (Shooting Suited to Scenes)

dSports

Use this mode for dynamic action shots that freeze the action in a single shot and record motion in a series of still images.

The camera focuses at the center of the frame.

To take images continuously, hold down the shutter-release button. Up to 6 images are captured at a rate of about 1.3 frames per second (fps) when image mode is set to P

4608×3456.

The camera continuously adjusts focus even when the shutter-release button is not pressed halfway. You may hear the sound of the camera focusing.

During continuous shooting, focus, exposure, and hue are fixed at the values determined with the first image in each series.

The frame rate with continuous shooting may vary depending upon the current image mode setting, the memory card used, or shooting condition.

eNight portrait

Use this mode for portraits taken at sunset or at night.

The camera detects a human face and focuses on it (A64).

The camera smoothes skin tones by applying the skin softening function (A66).

If no faces are detected, the camera focuses on the subject at the center of the frame.

Digital zoom is not available.

fParty/indoor

Captures the effects of candlelight and other indoor background lighting.

The camera focuses at the center of the frame.

As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, hold the camera steadily. In dark surroundings, the use of a tripod is recommended.

ZBeach

Captures the brightness of such subjects as beaches or sunlit expanses of water.

The camera focuses at the center of the frame.
